Recent training for senior members of the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse

The founder and director of London ADR UK/Nigeria, Vincent Adon, gladly accepted an invitation to become a member of the training faculty of the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (SCMA) – for both mediator and mediation advocacy training. London ADR and SCMA are currently collaborating on various fronts locally and internationally, one of which is a major ADR project in Nigeria, and the invitation to the SCMA training faculty will only serve to strengthen the existing partnership.

As a training faculty member of the SCMA, Vincent Adon joined the Convenor of the SCMA, Prof. Andrew Goodman and the new member of the SCMA Advisory Board, Robert Levitt in welcoming to London the Executive and Assistant Directors of the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse (LMDC), along with other senior Nigerian practitioners, to a train the trainers course in mediation advocacy, in April. The successful training, which was delivered by the trio was part of an ongoing and active campaign to see more individuals and organisations in Nigeria use mediation and more legal practitioners engage in the process as mediation advocates.
